1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 (KJV) “But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. 15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.”
We the family would first like to thank God our Father for Pastor Admira Dixon’s life. We would also like to thank Him for allowing Pastor Dixon to follow her calling, which was to preach the Gospel and touch the lives of people around the world through her missionary work. Pastor Dixon has left a great legacy with us all.
Pastor Dixon, throughout her life was a passionate ambassador for the Lord, she travelled tirelessly preaching and feeding the poor in many deprived countries.
Pastor Dixon joined her mother’s ministry, which started in the family home (Hammond Road) when she migrated to the UK. During her time as a missionary she made connections in Bristol ordering ‘Tracks’ with literature inviting individuals to give their lives to Christ. She would distribute these ‘Tracks’ throughout the community.
Armed with ‘Tracks’ Pastor Dixon led a large number of people to the Lord by witnessing on the streets of London, knocking on doors sharing the good news of Salvation. To this very day there remains devoted members in Chosen for Christ Ministries (CfCM), and other ministries who would tebufenozide this.
During her missionary work Pastor Dixon made valuable connections in Scotland, Ireland and Wales, during which time many souls were saved and delivered through her ministering. The Northern Ireland Conflict began in the late 1960s, and ended in 1998. In 1990, despite the conflict Pastor Dixon’s mission led her to Northern Ireland to pray for peace; she was accompanied by a number of church members from CfCM (previously known as Hanwell Church). Some years had passed, and following a vision shared by her mother Pastor Amy Williams, there was a public announcement of peace in Northern Ireland as a result of the Good Friday Peace Agreement in 1998 (we say this was as a result of much fasting and prayer). Whilst in Northern Ireland Pastor Dixon met Pastor McIlrath who pastored a church in Belfast, the church grew in numbers; our connection and fellowship continues today.
Pastor Dixon’s love for people and the mission also led her to Dominica, Pakistan, Ghana, Malta, Tenerife, Jamaican, St Lucia, Antigua, Grenada, Canada and many, many more countries around the world. Whilst in Ghana she recognised the need for music equipment for their schools, therefore on her return to the United Kingdom, she started fundraising and purchased music equipment which she later sent to the schools in Ghana.
During her missionary work and travels she also sent, and brought with her barrel loads of food and clothing for those in need. Mother Theresa once said “It’s not about what you do, but how much love you put into what you do that counts”. Pastor Dixon exuded love to every individual she came into contact with, so much so that she would donate her own clothes to clothe another. Pastor Dixon’s character was gentle, kind, and generous. She was compassionate to the poor and needy, and not only would she donate her clothes, but she would also empty her cupboards to make sure somebody else could eat. Pastor Dixon will always be remembered for her passion for Christ, her love of people, her generosity, and her smile that would light up every room she entered. Pastor Dixon was indeed a selfless missionary of Love.
Pastor Admira Dixon exemplified a Missionary, she is now resting safe in the arms of Jesus in eternal peace, until we meet her again in Glory.
We love you Mum, Sister, Grandmother & Great Grandmother. 💔
