Craig was born and bred in Halifax, a proud Yorkshireman who developed a love of sports, particularly rugby and enjoyed other hobbies, including cycling, skiing and hiking. His career was varied including serving in the RAF, Greater Manchester Police and the Metropolitan Police where he was extremely proud to have been a Firearms Officer at the Houses of Parliament working as part of the Diplomatic Protection Group being an advanced motorcyclist and looking after the likes of Margaret Thatcher and David Cameron. 

Craig was a loving husband, devoted father and a loyal friend.
