In Loving Memory of Ellen O'Dwyer

Nell was born on the 12th December 1928 in Balline, County Limerick, Ireland. She was the eldest of 12 children – 8 survived childhood.

She left school at 14 to work on the local farms, moving to Dublin for a while before coming to England in 1955, undertaking employment as housekeeper/ factory worker and cleaner. She met James at her sister’s wedding in 1961 marrying him in January 1963 and living in West Ealing, London. Three children were born between 1964 and 1969, John, Michael and Ann-Maria.

Moved to Bletchley, Bucks in 1967, where the family grew up and became involved in the local community.

Nell worked as a cleaner at the local school – St. Thomas Aquinas then for Milton Keynes occupational health service until 16 years ago. Pilgrimages to shrines within England were undertaken with the church along with ones further afield – Lourdes, Fatima and Rome. Trips back to Ireland occurred at various times also.

Nell feel asleep on the 30th August 2021, at home and in her own bed just as she wanted.
